What sets it apart
The carbon fiber wrap around the stainless steel barrel keeps the weight down – around 6 pounds 12 ounces – without sacrificing stiffness. That’s a big deal when you’re hiking out after a buck or carrying it between stages at a long-range match. The receiver is Cerakoted in Tungsten, which stands up to the El Paso sun. It comes with a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake to cut down on felt recoil, letting you follow up on target faster. The adjustable trigger lets you fine-tune the pull weight to your preference – around 3 to 5 pounds.
Who this rifle is for
Good for hunters who want a lighter rifle for the hills around here, and for anyone getting into PRS or NRL style matches. It’s a versatile .30-06 that works out of the box. The adjustable stock means you can get a good cheek weld without swapping parts. It holds 4+1 rounds.
Things to consider
.30-06 has some kick, even with the brake. Be prepared for that. And while it’s lightweight, 4+1 capacity might not be enough for some competitive stages.
